NZ120 DF

The NZ120 & 1:87 DF Class has now been drawn up, and can be found here

I've been having a play with 3d builder to edit the .stl file I send to shapeways to add a bit of colour, imagine one day being able to print in colour with a material like FUD. One day soon!

  2. Hello! I am making a 1:87 layout and I would like to ask if you could make the AK Carriages in 1:87 and maybe convert alot of the old steamers into 1:87? Thank you so much if you can do this you are the only person who makes most of the NZR Locos in 1:87

  3. Yeah i'll take a look at the AK's, i've been meaning to give them some love & update a few details on it. When I do i'll convert it to 1:87, with all the new designs I intend on making 1:87 versions.
    Likewise with the steamers.

  6. Sorry for spamming the comment section, Do you have sounds for your Locos? If you do can you release them online? I am trying to find DCC Sounds for NZR Locos and just cant find any anywhere, Thanks in advance

  7. Not really no, i've got a couple of sound files but nothing workable. I've no Dcc at all for my 1:24 stuff, but my nz120 fleet has a few sound loco's, I simply used the universal steam sounds that come with the decoders from this place https://www.modeltrainstuff.com/dcc-sound-power/decoders/

    1. Hmmm, I'll try and find some prototypical ones for sound decorders, I just found a video with NZR Locos with sounds (Not models but in a videogame) I wonder if I could take the sounds and program them into a decorder.
